The North Carolina State Fair 2022

It's been a year already. The N.C. State Fair is back! We attended on the second day of its opening & although our visit consisted of business & pleasure, we had a great time. Next year, I think we'll go at least twice to experience all we want.

Another thank you to the N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services for sponsoring our admission.

We arrived around 9:30am & left by 3:30pm. It was a long but overall fun day. We focused more on experiences this time. Next year, we'll get back to more eating & riding.

If you're curious about what we ate, etc., let's do a quick recap. We had pizza, twice-dipped corndogs with bacon, footlong hot dogs, turkey legs, & funnel cakes with strawberry topping. As for rides, my daughters rode the Alpine Bobs & another one they wanted to try malfunctioned as they were in line. They also walked through fun houses, toured exhibits, played games, & watched the Hog Diggity Dogs show.

One special thing we did was a Western/Victorian themed photoshoot. I've always wanted to do this. We could've stayed all day changing costumes & posing. It was fast-paced but fun!

Having my mom visit & attend the fair with us made things even more enjoyable. It's been years since we've gone together. She returns home soon, but luckily we have more plans underway.

Are you going this year?! Definitely get there if you can. There's always something new to do & see. The State Fair is hands down, one of North Carolina's best events!
