Doing & Dining: Finding Korea In Greensboro
All things K-pop have dominated our household's summer activities and entertainment. Staying on theme, my youngest jumped at the opportunity to take a dance class and enhance her K-pop footwork. Finding one in Greensboro surprised us seeing that most dance lessons we come across are hip hop, ballet, or latin dances. But there's so much more. And this is why it's so important to research what's happening around you — something I've pushed for years in blog posts and other forms of content.
Instead of making just another quick trip to ''The Gate City,'' we made a day of it. New adventures doing and dining, without traveling too far. Korean culture was the focus, starting with dance and ending with food. You may have a different interest and with intention, you can do and dine your way!

EXPLORE
Later, we stopped at Super G Mart, an international grocery store in Greensboro and the largest in North Carolina. The market is located in a shopping center that's home to a number of other international businesses and restaurants. While browsing the aisles in search of Korean snacks and sauces, the produce and seafood sections treated us to a plethora of colors and distinct scents.
A few separate shops line the inside wall of the market as you enter. My boba tea-obsessed daughter, Vivia, made a beeline for Gong Cha, while Alora headed to a shop offering clothes, jewelry, and other random items.
Super G Mart also offers a community space called 'The Club,' where people can host and/or attend diverse activities and classes. You can find an events calendar and inquiry form on the website. https://www.supergmart.com/g-club-community-lounge

EAT
In the same shopping center as the market is Dinja, a Korean restaurant with the most deliciously authentic and flavorful dishes. We headed there for dinner and ordered Beef Bibimbab, Cheese Don Katsu, Grilled Pork Belly, and Jajangmyeon. Two words… TRY IT!
