What's New In 2022

Welcome 2022.

I’m so happy to greet you with good health, the love of family, & endless possibilities.

More importantly… I’m stepping into this new year having found myself again. The single mom life I was once so nervous about is being good to me. It’s fun discovering who I am NOW. My tastes, desires, attractions, etc., have all changed so drastically.

A year ago, I felt like the epitome of uncertainty. I was trying to survive fear, heartache, & overwhelm. It was one of the most stressful seasons of my life.

Today, however, I know who I am, what I want, & where I’m headed. That doesn’t mean I don’t have challenging days. It just means I’ve worked on myself & continue to learn/use tools to help me get through those days.

I want to fill you in on new content coming to the blog throughout 2022. Things are intentionally evolving but I’m not straying from my core interests. I’ll be showing you more of who I am, what I love, & what I’m working to achieve.

I want you to go with me, to learn something from my journey, & to have a damn good time along the way.

So What The Heck Is Coming Up???

FASHION:

Unless you knew me pre-parenthood, you’re probably unaware of my love for shopping & dressing up. In my earlier life, you’d only catch me in sneakers when I was exercising. I lived to put on heels & a cute outfit honey! And I do mean LIVED.

Over the past decade, I’ve ignored this side of me. As a stay-at-home mom & mainly a one-income household, I convinced myself I didn’t need anything. I stopped letting my wants matter to me-especially materialistically. There’s a lot more to this story but that’ll come later.

Someone shout hallelujah because I’ve found my love of clothes again!

Being put together. Looking good. Feeling sexy.

Am I becoming a fashion blogger? Heck no. I’m still that chick who’d rather be sweating on a trail than strutting in heels. Variety is the spice of life though!

As I slowly rebuild my wardrobe, I’ll be sharing my finds. As I head out on adventures, I’ll share more of what I’m wearing. I’ll post here but also create fun content to share on social & Youtube. Make sure you’re following me out there. My social links are always at the top & bottom of the blog pages.

Do you know I have a channel around this blog, too? Of course you don’t because I haven’t used nor shared it properly. It’s entitled ThrillerMom TV if you’re interested in subscribing.

Things may get a bit more raw & real in that space compared to others. A few videos are already posted from years ago. Those won’t be removed but I’m looking forward to adding new, more up-to-date content.

ADVENTURES:

I tell you consistently that anything/anywhere can be an adventure. It’s always in what YOU make it. For us that means more attractions, destination reviews, outdoor activities, food adventures, itineraries, & colorful experiences. We’ll possibly revisit some places but include different activities while there. My daughters & I really want to make 2022 unlike any other but of course, only if we can do it safely.

Don’t forget… articles will be shared on my WRAL page as well. I’ll do my best to let you know when those are live. I really appreciate your support thus far.

PRODUCTS:

I cannot tell you how many great products I’ve learned about by following other creators. As I get deeper into this self-(re)discovery journey, I’m also coming across new things to love on my own. It’s only fair that I share those with you, too.

Friends do that.

I’m not a big makeup user. As a teen & young adult, I had surprisingly clear skin & I liked it that way. I didn’t see a point in wearing foundation & powders. I’m still a lover of natural looks but sometimes a girl wants to GLAM. I’m a makeup novice for sure but I love lipstick!

As I branch out more, I’ll share my finds. In the words of Scar (The Lion King), “be prepared.”

SINGLE MOM LIFE:

You know I’m always down to share parenting tips. My daughters are growing so fast! My oldest is a teen & in her last year of middle school. My youngest is almost done with elementary school. DANG IT. So yes… I have plenty of tips to share from this mama’s perspective. I may even talk a bit about co-parenting.

Then, there’s the subject of dating.

Okay… so here’s the thing… I haven’t been single, per se, in a long time. I’m also not the type to go blabbing about my dating life. What I am willing to do is share what I’ve learned over the years as far as relationships. Also, a little of what I’m looking for in the next.

I mentioned earlier in this post that my attractions have changed. This past year has shown me just how much. There are a few things that remain the same, however. They’re simply traits I like in a man.

Over the past year, I was honestly turned off at the thought of relationships. Even dating was a strong hell no. Nowwwww, however, I feel differently. Let’s just say I’m keeping my options open & when pandemic-related things settle, we’ll see what happens.

For now, learning more about who I am is enough. I’m content moving forward, creating a stronger social circle, & navigating the ups & downs of single motherhood. It’s an adventure for sure. There’s also a peace & freedom that comes with it that I didn’t expect.

Ladies & gents…. we’re gonna have a good time with this. A truthful time. Some downright transparency but I won’t be sharing everything. Some things just aren’t anyone else’s business. I know you understand.

GOALS:

One of my favorite things to do is encourage you. It makes my heart happy to share life experiences, good & bad, so that you know I can relate. I get you. My life goals are no different.

I want to share more about where I’m going & how I’m getting there. Not just the vision & end result. If you’re like me, you wanna know how the heck someone accomplished something. The steps they took to get there.

I also know what it’s like to be doubted, talked badly about, & ridiculed for your dreams; To be unsupported & made to feel like your goals aren’t relevant or good enough. That’s okay though. In the midst of that, I’ve also held on, stayed focused, & in various ways, learned to kick butt.

I hope to help you do the same. The beauty of it is…. we’ll learn & grow together.

I ask that you be patient with me as I work on systems & processes. I’m a one-woman show. The ideas, content creation (written, video), editing, marketing, side hustles, & all of my daily life responsibilities are what I’m juggling. Let’s not forget self-care & adequate rest.

Like you… I have a lot on my plate. In the future, I hope to add people & have a team. Delegation is the goal.

Don’t get me wrong… I have a support system that is UNREAL. I am a truly blessed individual & I’ll never take that for granted. What I’m currently able to get done wouldn’t happen without those people! PERIOD.

Well, I think that covers the plan for 2022. At least for now. And as you see, I haven’t strayed from my core interests. I’m just expanding them.

If there’s something you’d like to see more of, places or activities you’d like to recommend, please do. You can share a comment below or email me at thrillermomlove@gmail.com.

You know I love hearing from you all.

Now… let’s get to 2022’ing shall we?!

What’s your plan for the year? And if you haven’t figured that out yet, that’s okay, too.
